Sweet Valentine's Party...

Sweet Valentine's Party...

Today, I'm sharing a sweet little Valentine's Party we had earlier this week. It was packed full of sweets, hearts and so much love. Camden and Bella were so excited to eat the cookies that they helped bake, drink some white hot chocolate topped with a huge pink homemade marshmallow and open some sweet little gifts. Below I linked all the party supplies along with some tips on throwing a party!

Here's a few tips for throwing an adult party along with a kid party...

  1. Serve food that both can enjoy. This will save you time since you won't have to create a separate menu for the little ones.

  2. Make it interactive. Hot cocoa bars, candy bars, dessert bars, etc are a huge hit with both adults and kids. Also, a cute idea is to make paper fortune cookies in pink and red and fill them with questions that the guest has to answer. Maybe a most embarrassing moment, the funniest thing that has ever happened to them or a moment they'd love to relive.

  3. Have something for the kids to do at the table. I put out a Valentine's kit that they could work on while they ate.

  4. Great music that both will love!

Hosting can seem daunting and stressful and expensive, right?! It doesn't have to be.

Centerpieces: Yes, flowers are great centerpieces but placing food on cake stands can also make a great visual impact.

Dinnerware: Do you have some of you grandma's dishes packed away somewhere? Do you have some china from your wedding? If not, head to your local vintage store and grabbed some dishes. They don't have to match. Just try to coordinate the best you can. All white, all round, all square, etc.

Stress: Try to get as much done in advanced. Many food items can be cooked or bake beforehand. Also, set the table in advance. Always, figure in time that you yourself need to get ready! Also, try to serve easy food so that you are not in the kitchen the entire time and you have time to relax and enjoy the party.

I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's day filled with lots of LOVE!

Oh, I get so many questions about my gold mirror. I found both of mine on craigslist, but I finally found one that's similar and I have the same one, but in white in our living room. I linked it below!
