Fall is my favorite time of year (besides Christmas of course). I love going to the apple orchard and picking up apples, apple cider and a bunch of other goodies. I decided to make some festive drinks out of the apple cider and these mini white pumpkins that I picked up at Trader Joe's. I love the idea of using a cinnamon stick as a straw. It gives the drink an extra kick of cinnamon and let's be honest....it's just too cute!!
Here's the recipe:
Ingredients:
Mini pumpkins
Apple cider
Coconut whipped cream (Whole Foods freezer isle)
Pumpkin pie spice
Cinnamon spice
Nutmeg spice
Cinnamon sticks
Optional: Pumpkin Spun Paradise Sugar for the cotton candy.
Optional: Small candy stick
Directions:
- Heat up apple cider on the stove.
- Cut the tops of the mini pumpkins just like you would if you were carving a pumpkin. Cut the seeds off the top and scrape the seeds out of the pumpkin.
- Optional: Make cotton candy on a candy stick.
- Pour the apple cider into the pumpkin.
- Top with whipped cream.
- Sprinkle with the pumpkin, cinnamon and nutmeg spice.
- Add the cinnamon stick (if longer, you may need to break them)
- Optional: top with your pumpkin cotton candy.
That's it! Enjoy!
